If the threaded sleeve does not have a slot cut 90º to the vertical slot, use a hacksaw to cut a slot at the bottom of the vertical slot so the cross slot is about 3/8" on either side of the vertical slot. (Headset Adjuster Clamps now come with precut slots.) |

1" steerer tubes need a steel sleave. Line up slots and keep steel sleeve at the top of the adjuster sleeve. |

Place large washer between 1" headset & headset adjuster (this only appiles to 1" headsets) |

| 6. Assemble headset adjuster with clamp at bottom and both lock nuts on top of clamp. |
| 7. Install headset adjuster w/clamp on top of headset. |

8. Place 1 1/8" headset adjuster clamp over steering tube directly on headset as shown, see 4 & 5 for additions for 1" headsets. |
9.To adjust headset place riser clamp on top of headset adjuster clamp. Tighten riser clamp, now turn lock nuts counter clockwise to adjust headset bearings. After proper bearing adjustment, tighten headset adjuster clamp, now return riser to correct height. |
